Hi all,
I'm using ices 2.0.1 to stream audio from an alsa line input to icecast2 and it works perfectly.
One niggle I have is sometimes the audio coming into the system via the line input fails, and we broadcast dead air.

Is there a simple hook I can put into the ices source to detect this? Something into the alsa input module perhaps that could send a warning to the logging or similar that the input has dropped below a certain db/volume level.

Anyone got any suggestions?? (Or if this can be done in icecast2 instead)

Thanks in advance!
