Hi all,
I run ubuntu linux, and I want to start a tiny little internet radio station. PLease don't bombard me with all the legal stuff. I have taken care of all that, I just need some help setting things up. I have icecast installed, correctly I think, liveice and xmms. All works without errors. But when I try to connect to my ip from some other computer it can't do it. here is how my internet is setup:
dsl router->ubuntu linux firewall->internet radio machine. As you can see I am 2 layers deep. My dsl modem is setup with port forwarding. But no radio. I can't even connect to my radio machine from within the network. Anyone have any ideas? I used this article to start with: http://linux.omnipotent.net/article.php?article_id=11407
thanks |

That article is old now, and as we have said in various places, icecast 1.3 is unsupported. icecast 2.3.1 is the latest one we support and that version of liveice won't work with it as it doesn't have the correct login protocol for icecast2.
