i've got an icecast server running fine, and i've successfully used ezstream/oggfwd to stream files encoded with ffmpeg2theora in the past. however, occasionally it throws up the following error:
ezstream: Streaming ``001''
warning: This doesn't look like a Speex file
ezstream: shout_send(): Socket error
ezstream: Connection to http://localhost:23000/fallback.ogg lost
or...
oggfwd: Connected to server
warning: This doesn't look like a Speex file
oggfwd: Send error: Socket error
oggfwd: Quitting ...
these are definitely working theora files as they play in mplayer and in MPC on my windows box; i also have <format>THEORA</format> in my ezstream xml if that makes any difference.
this previously only happened with files encoded using ffmpeg2theora under windows, but ffmpeg2theora 0.22 under linux is now giving the same problem, which is a bit of an issue considering i've just batch encoded over a hundred trailers and none of them will stream.
the box is a celeron 220 running ubuntu 7.10 server i386. |
