|
|
Hi,
Listeners are complaining that introfile is playing fine, but after that it's not starting to stream our program...
Introfile is in same format (smplrate, bitrate etc.) as stream...
What could be wrong?
Logfiles doesn't show problem...
Version is 2.3.1.

If the source does not timeout then that would indicate that some content is being seen (the byte count will increase for example), if that content is silent then icecast can't do much about that but typically indicates a problem with the wrong mixer setting when the source client captures audio.

Yeah, source doesn't time out.
And audio have been played normally in other players...
We checked audio captured from our stream same time when listener complained problem, and everything were ok...
So, quite weird... Logs not show problem still... |

Your description would indicate that the people who are experiencing a problem with the silence are still receiving content. The usual cause for this is mismatch settings but I cannot verify the stream without a URL.

Thanks Karl for your help!
I encoded introfile again as you recommended, and now it seems to work without problem... |

As a followup for others, make sure the intro is the same as the stream, in some cases some people have used an intro that is MPEG ADTS which although plays in some players does not play in all.
