I have a 128 kbps and 68 kbps mp3 stream. I took the 68 kbps down and put a 64 kbps vorbis which sounded better (imo) to the 128 kbps mp3. Well after doing this people complained (and my uncle who I did the job for) of the songs looping. One day one song played for 2 or so hours straight. It seems he dropped and it kept looping what he had already downloaded off the stream. How do I prevent this?

Second, it seems to disconnect the user off the stream at exactly 2:27 everytime. The last time it was 2:38 on the lower bitrate one. It is like clock work. I have both streams on a flash playlist on a website that autoplay, so it drops you off one and then starts the next one automatically. it does the same even with the downloaded m3u file in windows media player.

2:38

It seems the problem was the flash player. Perhaps it has been doing this since i put it up but i never noticed until i put the vorbis stream up. The settings for the flash player is just auto play , so maybe its bad coding on the flash player. I left the post in case someone knows another reason in the icecast config that can cause this. I would love to use vorbis, but I will need the stream embedded in a pop-up, and using the windows media player.. well if you don't have the vorbis codec it won't work.
