Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hi, I have a problem...

I can't stream text to icecsat server, where I don't have a problem streaming text of the playout to shoutcast server...

I did enter all the recquired details, like IP, mount, password - but it still doesn't show text. I use STREAMTITRE to do the job, as my icecast is on the separate PC than playout...

any ideas why? Is it possible to do that? if yes, maybe some settings on the icecast must be activated?

Please help!

text is such a vague description. Do you mean ascii? what protocol are you using, does the format matter?

thanks for your reply, i've managed to sort this out by changing the login name which initially was "admin"...this doesn't make any sense to me, but it worked...
