Hello everyone , i'm newbie in setting an icecast server.When i type sudo /etc/init.d/icecast2 start the following appears

Starting icecast2: Starting icecast2
Detaching from the console
I/O error : Permission denied
I/O error : Permission denied
I/O warning : failed to load external entity "/etc/icecast2/icecast.xml"
FATAL: error parsing config file (/etc/icecast2/icecast.xml)
XML config parsing error

Can anyone explain me whats the problem and how i can figure it out?
It worth mentioning that when i was running fedora the following message did not appear at all, and the server was up. Now i'm on ubuntu.

I dont know if i've fixed anything now  . The following message appears when i type in terminal sudo /usr/bin/icecast2 -c /etc/icecast.xml (icecast2 is the name of user)

How did you solve your problem? I'm experiencing the same error. It's a bit frustrating at the moment cause i tried all i could find. |
