Hi all !

I set up an IceCast2 Server (2.3.1), defined an mountpoint "/test", set up the listener-auth (htpasswd), connected the source (simplecast) to that mountpoint and everything works fine. All users have to authenticate an after that they can listen to the stream.

Now i want to rename the mount to "/" so i can connect by entering only the servername an the Port. "http://myserver.dyndns.org:9009" instead of "http://myserver.dyndns.org:9009/test".

So i changed the mount name in the Icecast-Config.xml, an the source (simplecast). Everything seems to work fine, an the mountpoint appears at the admingui in my browser.

But when i try to connect with winamp, i says "error syncing to mpeg". WindowsMediePlayer wont connect too. But why ? The only thing i have changed are the names oft my mountpoint.

On another Server with an older Version of Icecast without Auth are no problems. There is a mountpoint "/" working fine. I tryed to copy the config an added the Authoptions, but this doesn't work too.

I dont know what to to. Can you help me ?
And sorry for my bad english...

Greetings Joachim

My guess would be that you have an alias of / to /status.xsl still in your xml file. If so then all you are getting is a webpage and not a stream. Remove the alias and try again.
