With 2.3.2-kh13, the login page for htpasswd authentication does not seem to work, there are no fields and no submit button on the page.
I used the "Login" link from the "List Mounpoints" page.

My bad. It won't show streams if the mount definition has "hidden" set to 1. Since the only authenticated stream I had was hidden - empty page.

that would tend to indicate that there is no authentication present
