Now that I have libshout working, I'm writing a schedule-based player for an Internet radio station. I'll be reading in pre-encoded 128k MP3 files and sending them right out again with libshout. I anticipate that the file may sometimes be longer than its scheduled slot, so I will need to stop streaming it before reaching end-of-file.
Is it ok to simply end the shout_send/shout_sync loop at any point, and start sending a new file? Or do I need to stop on a frame boundary to avoid confusing the icecast server or its eventual clients?
