Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hello again, I appreciate all the help so far. I am setting up my windows xp pro box this week with either Traktor or Sam3, and I plan on using a hosting company that specializes in icecast servers. I have a couple of questions.

1. Which software do you guys recommend and like better, Traktor or Sam3.

2. Can anybody recommend a quality hosting company that has specializes in icecast.

As far as I know, either soft are good. For my multiple hosted services, DJs use either with success. Then it depends on your feeling with each of those pieces of software and your skills on djing Smile

For icecast hosting, as for previous, everything depend on hosting quality, what are your needs and so. As an example, my french company offers hosting plans from simple hosting up to full fledged dedicated servers with tons of fallback, automated playlists and more..

Maybe others will give you their own advices.

Traktor only does OGG streaming, if that is an issue. On the other hand, Traktor is very well suited for live and club DJing, I have been using it for 3 years now (currently Traktor Pro).
