I am new to Icecast but I managed to set up an Icecast server under linux. In my home LAN, I got it to work well. I use Simple cast (windows) as host, Icecast server (linux) and Itunes to listen to my own stream.

Next step is that I want listeners to connect to my server (@ home) via a my public domain (website URL). I tried to read the instructions but it is not clear enough to me how to proceed.

A few hints are highly appreciated ! Very Happy

usually people don't want listeners connecting to their home connection dues to limiting upload bandwidth but assuming you have plenty for your needs then you'll have to configure you network so that external requests get to icecast, ie firewalls and port-forwarding are the usual things to setup for. All that is needed then is for listeners to use your external IP:port and mount.
