I think it might be nice to offer the ability to write logs directly to a database (MySQL, PgSQL, ODBC, etc...). I think that the text files work well for small sites, but when you start growing and have multiple servers it can be a pain to compile statistics for customers If they were all logged into one database server, then it would make things much easier.
I'll probably end up doing this myself, but I just wanted to bring it up because I think it can benefit this project. |

someone was working on implementing access log via mysql, I haven't seen any mention of it recently so you want want to ask on the mailing list as well.
