Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hello,

Icecast drop our connections after 500 connections. We had a previous server where we attribute this value to this variable:

fs.epoll.max_user_instances = 20480

On the new server, this variable is not included. So, I can not change it.

Could it be the cause of the problem ? Our servers are running under kernel 2.6.32.2, debian lenny and some on jaunty with icecast 2.3.2-5. Our old servers are running under 2.6.27.10 linux kernel with same version of icecast.

you would need to check the log files to see what triggered the drop. epoll is not used by icecast directly so that setting is unlikely to make any difference.
