Hello!
I’ve just tried to build the KH branch 2.3.2-kh27.1 of Icecast from source. When running configure on my Debian Lenny system everything seems OK — there’s only one message from configure of which I don’t know the consequences:
Code: |
[...]
checking for curl_global_init... yes
checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
configure: SSL disabled!
[...] |
What does that last line mean (libcurl4-gnutls-dev is installed, but maybe this doesn’t have anything to do with it)?
Thanks,
Alex |

curl-config is the util used to check for the paths, see if that is installed. libcurl is used for directory updates and slaves querying the master server. If you are using neither of those then icecast won't be affected.

Thanks. Strangely enough curl-config is installed and detected by the configure script (... /usr/bin/curl-config).

Ack! libcurl seems to be ok, it's just the ssl lib, probably down to a missing ssl development package.

As simple as you said: libssl-dev was missing. The SSL configure message disappeared …
Thanks,
