| How do we *stay* listed in the Directory? We could be found under a search for "Christian" yesterday; but later in the day, we disappeared from the listings. We also use the tags "Alternative" "Rock" and "Various" and "Metal" and we don't show up under any of those genres or keywords, although we did show up under "Alternative" for awhile yesterday. When we search by our station name, we show up in the Directory. Are there more than the 2 to 5 pages that a genre indicates there are? And what dictates what keywords or genres you are listed under? Is it: 1. Genre indicated in our encoder; 2. Stream Description indicated in our encoder; 3. Genre indicated in our streaming server or 4. Description indicated in our streaming server? And is http://dir.xiph.org/cgi-bin/yp-cgi what needs to be in the box that says "Directory Listings URL" in our server configuration module? What other settings do we need to have in place in our configuration scheme? |

The usual cause for getting dropped is that the provided hostname is incorrect, the server is unreachable. If you are saying that your icecast is having to re-add itself to the directory then that that is probably why. If nothing is obvious then send me some details and I can look into it.
