Hi guys, a technical question on migration.
Since the Icecast accounts are set up by IP and port it seems that a migration to a new server with a different IP address will cause some extra work.
I am taking it that if you need to migrate to a new server its best to take the IP address with you, if possible.
The reason why I ask is that I want to install my icecast server on my existing server for today with the understanding of what I expect to do when I need to migrate it away onto its own server away from the rest of my websites later down the road.
Any advice would be appreciated.

the pls/m3u does not have to come from icecast, it may come from a web server. There has been a suggestion of hardcoding a redirect option in a mount but it's not currently implemented yet, it's not difficult though.

When I set up the accounts in centova Cast they reference the IP address of the stream. So it looks like I will have to change all these manually then. Bummer.
