hello!
Im trying to stream the live sound from my soundcard to icecast2 using liveice. I want to stream mp3 so im also using lame3. in the icecast.xml i have a mountpoint called /live and i mount to that with liveice and that work great, but when i open the stream its just a noise. i have tried different samplerate and bitrate. now im using bitrate 24000 samplerate 22050 and MONO. I know that there is similar topics in this forum but that havent helped me. so if anyone have an idea that could solve this problem please tell me |

I can ad that the sound to the speakers dont work when i start liveice and stream over to icecast2, it works if i quit liveice and start a song in mplayer. so liveice take over the whole sound. thats ok because i dont need to hear the sound in my speakers but i just discovered that. at some point when i was trying different samplerate and bitrate and MONO/STEREO i could recognise something in the noise but now its just static noise. i did try to see what was captured in the terminal by typing this: "arecord -f cd -d 10 sample.wav" and then play it up like this "aplay sample.wav"
then it was the right sound from mplayer but it was not that good quality. to sum it all up: I get liveice to mount on icecast2 through http_login... and i stream from the soundcard and i can open the stream in icecast2 but its just some static noise. |
