Ok, I am wondering how to go about doing this as a friend of mine did it a while back and now that my MP3 collection is at around 70GB's I want to stream it to any of the PC's in my home or at work.
That probably is childs play here.
But here is the real issue.
My friend used some php scripts to enable me to browse his music collection, create a playlist of that collection and then when I loaded the playlist, it would connect to IceCast and stream it to me. So can this still be done? |

There are jukebox type apps that can be used for configuring a source client. icecast is just the delivery system in such cases. Use google/freshmeat or similar to find any that suite your needs. eg tunez
