Hey guy's

i've recently changed my radio setup and finally got round to setting up a transcoder.

i have copied the setup as per this very helpfull person's guide here: http://dementiaradio.org/backuprelay/

all setting are exactly the same, and my setup is now as follows:

DJ -> Shoutcast Server -> StreamTranscoderV3 -> Icecast Server -> Listener

The reason i have gone for this setup is tanscode the incoming live stream to my icecast server as well as have a backup stream setup on my icecast server.

This is all setup and working perfectly Smile

but... Sad

the metadata from the DJ is being passed through from DJ to Shoutcast Server and then to the StreamTranscoderV3 as the StreamTranscoder GUI is displaying this. Now for some reason the metadata is not being grabbed by the Icecast server!!!

i've got a backup stream setup on the icecast server (ezstream) and the metadata is showing up on the icecast server perfectly. Its just the DJ stream that won't grab the metadata from the transcoder!

Can anyone help with this?? if you need to see my settings, see the url above as i have exactly the same

help appreciated guys! pulling my hair out on this one!!

The transcoder is supposed to send the metadata to icecast (as all source clients do), if that is failing in some way then it should be checked. Look at the error log for metadata updates (you may need to increase the log level for that).
