Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hi folks,

This is my first post but I spend a lot of time reading other post and usually get problems solved that way. Thank you to a great community for some great software.

My problem is this - I'm running an icecast server on an ubuntu box. I can access the server and the stream no problem over wired & wireless networks.

On 3g on my iphone however I get - 'Safari cannot open the page becasuse the server has stopped responding'

If I am on a wireless network Safari has no problem. I tried un/ reinstalling icecast but to no avail. I've posted the config below the server address is - 93.107.163.230:8000

Any help greatly appreciated

If the player cannot handle the stream link then you'll have to talk to apple about it. It's unclear to what you are actually requesting in safari, web pages, m3u, or the stream. You could always check the icecast logs.

Hi Karl,

I try requesting both (m3u and web interface) and can access neither but only over 3g.

The thing is that i have the exact same setup on another server on another network and I can access icecast interface and m3u no problem. I'm sure it's not an icecast problem but maybe someone else has had the same issue?

I'll check the logs and see if they shine any light.
