hello,
Sorry I cannot find a relevant topic on my issue so I posted this as new topic here.
I am using AAC stream on Icecast KH 33 on 64kbps I tried to put intro file with the same 64kbps quality, 44.1khz but then when testing the intro file play at start but not the stream after intro file done playing, I remove the intro file and the stream play as normal.
On the mp3 format stream and file, the intro does not have any issue so only in AAC format that this issue.
Does anyone have the same issue like mine?
thanks. |

Those sorts of effects would tend to indicate a subtle format change which is confusing either icecast or the player. If icecast gets confused about it then it typically shows as the intro appearing but then no further data (use curl to test that), I suspect that is not happening because the frame alignment aspect of aac is fairly generic but I did have a similar issue with mp3 when certain changes occurred.
What is more likely is that the intro is not precisely like the stream, maybe it's an aac+ file (file intro.aac) whereas the stream may be AAC LC. Those sorts of changes can have that sort of an effect.

Hi KarlH,
thanks for the quick response, yes i believe its all about AAC format on the stream I am using sambroadcaster which encode the stream to aacPlus while the intro file I believe was converted to AAC LC format by some software I used, I am searching now any software that can convert mp3 to aacPlus to match the stream format with the intro file.
Thanks again, I will post here the result when I got solution on this. |
