Hi all,

I'm currently testing centovacast and kh5 on a local machine with a flash player, with visualiser and meta data included into it, but have run into an issue, all the streams all play fine through the flash players meta data is correct, but for some reason the visualizer doesn't respond even though the player streams the sound fine ?

Just wondering if i need to install anything else to get it working ?

Centovacast installed on centos 5 with latest update for v5
and I have the latest kh branched installed that i downloaded from here.. https://github.com/downloads/karlheyes/icecast-kh/icecast-2.3.3-kh5.tar.gz

Any help would be appreciated.
Mike.

there is no setting in icecast for enabling visualisation, that is purely a client option, you will need to speak to them for that, I'm not sure what would trigger that.

Thanks for the reply much appreciated.

I did contact the player distributor he said that it was something to do with the config of the server relating to the stereo not being picked up properly which causes the vu levels to fail to respond.

Not sure if that helps any further tho ? can you suggest any pointers from there ?

Regards
Mike.

There are no config settings for stereo wrt FLV wrapping. There is a stereo boolean setting within the FLV metadata.

While there may of been some changes recently to cause the issues to appear, then it would be better for the developers of the app to report precisely what they are expecting for that particular feature to work. It is ahttp header, an FLV issue, encoded data etc

Try the latest github code to see if the issue still applies but I don't recall anything that is an issue

I don't think it's a version problem as i have the latest version kh-5 running on a centovacast setup which is a reseller account based in america, the problem there is the amount of time it takes to get to the players in the uk so
i'm looking to host my own dedicated server to serve my uk listeners with the same setup they use to serve the data to the players with vu. I've bought 3 players and they all work fine off the us server.

After your reply think i can safely rule out it being icecast now so i'll get deeper with centos and centovacast.

Thanks for your assistance, keep up the good work Very Happy

Regards,
Mike
