|
|
I'm grasping at straws here. I've been back and forth with BSI USA (Simian) and Orban and I'm at my whits end. So with BSI, I've confirmed that the XML metadata is reaching the encoding pc via their network tools that listens to a designated port. When Simian outputs the XML I can see it in the utility but for whatever reason Opticodec just doesn't see it. Anyone have experience with this encoder and Icecast2 vanilla? I'm assuming if the metadata is picked up by the encoder I'd see the metadata in the encoder rather than default info. Please help guys! Orban's customer service is pretty much saying there is nothing they can do for me. Would them being on different domains be the issue? I don't think it would because the network utility has no problem seeing the information. It's a rack pc running windows xp home.
Edit: Btw, I've tried both HE-AAC + just AAC and I'm not getting anything. |

hi..
I have little experience with Optocodec.. but I do recall that you have to have the meta file it reads to be placed in the same directory/folder as the optocodec encoder itself (optocodec has an issue looking in other directories/folders)
I hope that helps..
perhaps I can fire up the old optocodec and look at this issue closer if you still need assistance... _________________ -DjZ-
