I'm currently using the 2.3.2 Win built in auth method, but want to move over to an auth server.
Is it possible for the auth server to be on a different host? Or will I need to configure a web host on my audio host?
Assuming the auth server can be anywhere, does anyone know of a Wordpress plugin that (user) sets-up, manages and serves credentials?

The auth url settings use full URLs so they can be located anywhere. The key issue is to make sure the latency is not too great or else it can slow things down when processing many queued requests.

Is there any documentation I can read about setting this up? The Icecast doco only has htpasswd notes.
I assume the url feature is in 2.3.2 Win |

URL listener authentication is documented in the releases it is available for with 2.3.3 being the latest released. Just look further down the page after htpasswd.
