hello frends i installed the icecast server but when i run in the command line #icecast -c /usr/local/etc/icecast.xml
the result show the next:
FATAL: could not open error logging (/usr/local/var/log/icecast/error.log): No s
FATAL: could not open access logging (/usr/local/var/log/icecast/access.log): No
FATAL: Could not start logging

i go to usr/local/var/ but directory log don't exist

my question is if i should create this directory and these files or what do i have?

thanks if any can help me ..

in the /usr/local/etc/icecast.xml i cant config

yes, icecast requires write access to the <logdir>, so it does need to exist. The actual log files don't have to exist but obviously it needs to write to them if they do.
