Hello, my friend recommendation this program icecast, but he is not here to tell me how i can use it.
i have unix server whom i want to start amateur radio.
Can u help me? Tell me how it work icecast and what i must to do to start the radio

I must write a script at xml or something else ? And what i must write in playlist.txt ? - the path to *.mp3 ? ex: /mnt/music/rap/bg.mp3 ?

you need to determine which platform you will run icecast on and then which source client you will use to create the stream

Yes, i'm on linux. I download icecast 2.3.1, installed and i'm waiting to understant what i must to do to lunch it

look through the sample xml files provided, and the documentation. for many only a source password and hostname would need changing.
