Hi,
since I changed my icecast from Windows (own PC) to a server with Linux, it won´t appear at the stream direcorty of icecast. I made the nessecary changes in the icecast.xml, and it streams well.
The PC uses a dynamicDNS and the server a static IP, which I enter at the xml file.
Where can be the mistake?

If you see entries in your error log showing that icecast is trying to add a stream to the directory server then that part is working, you just need to verify that the <hostname> is correct and that the directory server can access your server.

[2006-04-07 23:13:01] INFO main/main Icecast 2.3.1 server started
[2006-04-07 23:13:01] WARN main/main YP server handling has been disabled

But why itís disabled or how do I enable?

But it seems that the error is there:
Icecast2 needs a library called libcurl, but this library is old and no longer available. Because of that I´ve installed libcurl3-dev on Linux but the question is: does it works with Icecast 2?
Following Linux version is running on the server:Debian Sarge 2.4.27-2-386 # i686 GNU/Linux
Please help if you have a better library!
Thanks

The version required has to be at least 7.10, and even that is old now. 7.15.3 is the latest, and yes you will need the development package. Not sure what libcurl3 is supposed to be.

For example . i get the filename playing from http://hydralix.softnet.tuc.gr/~rebetikos/ices.cue and i put the filename in a Relational DB so to get artists, comments, etc.

How can I use the xml file to make palylists in a database (not from text file) so my users can choose from files to make their own "broadcast".
And as a second how can i put my station in your stream directory?
I dont want to get you tired , if you can just post a url for a manual or something about these specific things, because i searched and didnt find anything.

The radio is at :http://radio.rebetiko.sealabs.net:6900/radio

Thanks again
