I have a dedicated server that runs RedHat Linux. A friend of mine has a live talk show everyday in Colorado. He wants people to be able to click "Listen Now" on his website and a pop-up opens up and starts playing his live stream and also has ads on it. Can you tell me what software I will need on his computer and on my dedicated server?
Thank you for your time!

I read through that, but I was told that it wouldn't work if the computer that will be sending all the info to my dedicated server is running windows.
Can I put icecast on my dedicated server and have the guy in Colorado who is going to do the live Talk Show (it's an actual radio station) use Windows Media Encoder and just use that to push all his live feed to my server, which will be the link "Listen Live" on his website? Or does that not even make any sense?
Thanks! |
