Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hello there.

I thought about making my own thread as i get specific help!
1) Does IceCast work with DJ Traktor 2 Full version / 3 Demo ?
2) Where to setup up you're broadcasting? In DJ Traktor or just IceCast?
3) What to install? It's really important for me getting this started.

Other things:
1) I'm using Windows XP - Home Edition.
2) I don't know yet. ^^

Hmm, i also haven't configed my IceCast aswell.
Because i don't have a clue *what* to chance into *what* !

Could anyone help me what to fill in?

Some minor questions:
1) Is it possible letting other people listen to my DJ Traktor Studio 3 via WMP 10?
2) If not, do they need my ''URL''?

Also, please could anyone give me specific information about getting this started.
I only need this to get started, nothing else needed!

Hmm,
I got almost everything to work.
Just a few things needs to get fixed.

1) Bitrate: Quality 0
2) When clicking on: Click to Listen. (On: http://host:8000/status.xsl)
it opens Winamp. Start downloading ''File Archieve'' (Something similair), and after that, it does nothing.

Kinda strange, but these are the last problems i have.

UPDATE:

The problems i still have:
1) Bitrate: Quality 0
2) Now it opens winamp and it shows:


But now, it doesn't ''Buffer'' and make sound.
Not at my own PC, nor at my brother's PC.
Does anyone know how to get these *Last* 2 things fixed?

I am having problems trying to stream from the soundcard, like you i ma getting no sound but it does perform buffering.
Speaking with limited experience here, maybe you should try another player, perhaps ezstream, and just attempt to stream 1 song to it just to see if your icecast is working perfectly. Then you can look at the broadcasting software you have. On a windows setup i have at home, I have SAM broadcaster streaming no problem to icecast, pity i cannot replicate it with Linux and soundcards
Hope that helps somewhat, It would do no harm to help troubleshoot it.
