Icecast Streaming Media Server

Just a quick post to thank the developers for this great program.

I like to watch the local football game but cant stand the tv announcers, so I listen to the local FM radio broadcast of the game.

The problem is (was) the radio is about 10 seconds ahead of the tv. That pretty much destroys the experience when you know what's going to happen before you see it on the screen.

Enter Icecast. Now I plug my walkman into my line-in and get stream the game onto my PC. Then I tune in with Winamp and can pause the audio just a bit to sync it up with the video.

It works perfectly!

I had never used icecast or oddcast before, but I followed the documentation for both. I started just after kickoff and had things working before the end of the first quarter.
