ok, for a start i dont know wat i'm doing
what i hav, sam demo, spacial audio account, ice cast
I also have a wifi router

How do i get a radio out of this?

The basic process is always the same, get icecast running first, you can test this by placing the ip:port url into a browser to get the status page. Then configure your source client (ie sam) to connect to icecast and stream.

I am using SAM also, and have an MP3 stream running no problem, but what if I want to encode an Ogg stream?

Is anyone else using SAM to do an Ogg stream?

Questions about sam are probably best directed to the spacialaudio forums as they are the ones that support it, but in general terms you need to define another encoder in the app besides the existing mp3 one.

yeah, I have a message out there on the SAM forum, but just in case it was an Icecast thing I wanted to cover my bases. I will see what they say over there, but I get the impression that few users of SAM do Ogg casts.

I cannot comment on the number of users that do this and check the forums but I do know that there are people out there using sam for encoding ogg streams. In any case, the basic process for defining a new stream should be same whether it is mp3 ogg or aac

I use SAM and stream MP3 @56K I can help, but suggest to lose the demo...the full version is great... flawless for a month now
