Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hi all,

i hope this is the right place to ask and my apologies if this has been answered before, but i did a brief search on this forum and got no hits about this, so i thought i'd try a new post.

I am using ezstream (with a very minimal configuration) and icecast to stream my mp3 files from my server. For ease of use i created a web based gui to maintain the playlist. In order to make ezstream reread the new playlist and to make sure the stream does not get cut off i have my backend logic send a SIGHUP to the ezstream process every time a new playlist is saved. All this works pretty well, apart from ezstream always skipping the first song in the new playlist. Anyone else witnessed that behaviour? Is this an intended behaviour, is it a known bug (if so, please tell me where to find those and i will troll off again)? Any pointers would be welcome.
