Icecast Streaming Media Server

Right, like i said i really need a hand.

A buddy of mine asked me to get some experiance in making shoutcastradio.
He told me that i should download Icecast wich i did.

Now i have read multiple walktroughs on the net about setting it up but it still doenst work.

Is there someone here who can help me guide trough the steps properly.
i think i had the radio running last night, but noone could find the stream i was playing on.

I will be forever in your debt if case you help me.

these sort of posting are so vague that no one can answer. You need to break down the 'It's not working' state of affairs to something people can work with. The first things to do

Check the icecast server is accessible, use you browser to get the main page. If not possible check it's running and that you allow access via firewalls.

Check the logs, any attempt to access the server will be in there even if it's a rejection so see if an attempt is being made.
