Icecast Streaming Media Server

hi all please forgive me but i am nu to this streaming malarkie!!l i have just down loaded icecast and want to set it up with traktor 3, in traktor 3(broadcast section) its asking me for these things:- 1, address, 2, mountpath, and password, and also in the metadata section its asking for a url??? where will i find the info im needed to start broacasting , i am a maturish dj who,s trying to get his head round todays technology pleeeeeeeeeaaaase help!!!

The address and port are to reference the icecast server, mountpoint is to identify the stream on the icecast server (eg /high.ogg) and password to authenticate the person connecting. I'm not completely sure what the url you are referring to is for but I suspect it's the url for your website and is optional.

someone must be running the icecast, either yourself or someone that you have an arrangement with. They will provide you with what details you need. Think of it like hosting web content, you need an address and connectivity details to get the content onto the web server.

Ask the administrator of the icecast server. I certainly don't know your details.

i am the admin but your very vague with your replys not every1 wantin to use your software is as advanced as you !!!! ive put all the information that is asked to try and link but nothing seems to work!!!! if i want to use my mp3 files wot do i put in as mount path?? these are very simple questions .... ive also looked at the beginers tutorial it wont even let me post a reply/comment because im not a moderator!!!
