dear all .
i have installed icecast 2.0 with ices in my server everything running kwel . mp3s are playing alright . i have created random playlist which working cool as well . hoever problem is i cant put any kind of annoucement in between songs .. and its not possible to edit 500 mp3s and put announcement track in between them . is there any easy way so i can configure my ices to play announcement track end of each music track .

please help .

icecast 2.3.2 is the latest, you should not be using 2.0 anymore.

You have 2 ways to do this. You could randomize the list yourself inserting whatever announcements you want after the re-ordering has been done, or you can get ices to read from a script that makes the ordering for you. Either way should work fine.

i am using ices 0.4 because its support mp3 format . is there any script can you name or gimme the link of any script which gonna instert announcement after every single track .

thanks . but thats not what i am looking for .. my server isnt located here . i hav to work and access my server remotely via shell .

i need a software or script which will put one announcement randomly after every single track .

But this piece of software is a bit hairy when it comes to install.

well, basically, even if site is frech, this is a PHP app, using a modified ices and aschedule.
you can use google translate or babelfish to get details.
