Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hi,
I am trying to get icecast working with Traktor. I have the icecast server set up at work, and the Traktor client at home. I can connect to the server, and start broadcasting. I can also connect to the server as a client (with winamp) but I only receive silence (but I am receiving a stream).

The master output in Traktor is showing activity, so I am (perhaps incorrectly) assuming that the source is ok. Is there anything else that might cause this problem like a blocked port in the firewall at the server (it is pretty restrictive at times, even of outbound traffic).

Running Traktor on the server, and connecting to localhost works fine. Different soundcard setup there though, so it could be that... :/

Is this purely a Traktor/driver issue?

If there is a data stream from the source client to icecast and then to the player (even if it's just silence) then the connection parts are working so not a firewall issue. The silence will be because of something at the source client (eg wrong input etc).
