I`m having some problems with the id tags of some mp3 files not showing correctly within the latest icecast and shoutcast while using ices 0.4 on ubuntu 8.04. Seems to only happen with ID3v2 tags.
Example of the problem:
01:51:21 Cal Alex - Kingdom Of Fear
00:33:13 ÿþB - ÿþB
23:17:34 ÿþL - ÿþL
21:59:11 ÿþW - ÿþW
20:40:22 ÿþ - ÿþ
I`ve tried changing the charset within icecast with no avail.
Anyone experienced this problem before and perhaps knows a solution for it ? |

It's probably an issue with ices0, use wireshark or tcpdump to capture the packets to make sure. I'm not aware of any patches to ices0 for this.

Found a version of ices 0.4 which supports unicode id3tags which so far hasnt had any problem`s with the mp3`s.

Yes since 1 year i search a solution for this problem with ices.
