seems like it's all a bit too deep for me,i'm just a musician.hehe.
i'll have to wait till things get a little more user friendly.

ok, but you cannot phone up a mechanic, say what do I need to do to get my car working and not know what make/model/year your car is.

assigned by dhcp.
i have a broadband account with 02.adsl router.

If we are to assume the source client is within your network then the address specified in the source client configuration needs to be that 192.168.x.x address not the external one. If you use the external IP, what happens is that the request is sent to the router and probably stops there as most do not forward the connection back in to the LAN. Think of it as sending an item from one room in your house to another room, why should you take it out of your front door, just more work. The 192.168.x.x addresses are like room identifiers, no good to me as I don't know where you live but useful to you.
