Hello,
i have set up the icecast on debian with apt-get install icecast2
Everything is allright. I can connect with Traktor DJ and see on the Webpage the server informations.
When i now will connect so the server with wmp he loads and loads an loads.
It says: opening medium
But i can't hear anything.

if you are saying that the stream appears in the status page for icecast and that data is being sent to wmp but not actually playing back then I would check the format of the stream to see if wmp can handle it. I don't think wmp has an issue with extensions but it has issues with variable rate mp3.

Traktor DJ can only stream ogg.
I have also test it in itunes, quick time and co!

I can connect but I see a few odd settings.
It's silent so obviously hard to assess the sound quality.
mountpoint does not end in .ogg, not an issue for icecast but some players use the extension to select the plugin (eg winamp).
encoder settings look wrong, 192 min/max and nominal, stick with quality values initially.
samplerate is 32khz, if you intend to have high bitrate then 44.1khz would be better.

P.s. on http://dataup.to:8000/stream (the webplayer) i can hear music! But not in wmp or itunes |

Ok, now everything is also ok with winamp!
But itunes and wmp can't play it!
mount is now stream.ogg |
