Hi, is there anyway to disable chaining of OGG vorbis with icecast?

I am using Traktor Pro 3 to connect to icecast to broadcast live sets. However, not everyone has Firefox 3.5 or something that supports chained vorbis data. Traktor sadly does not support MP3 Sad, and I know of no way to conver OGG to MP3 while streaming.

I want to embed a player on my website site that people can listen to without 3rd party software (FOGG works fine until the track changes, then it just cuts off, same behavior with many other players)

Is there anyway to do this? Or is it just impossible to embed OGG streams into websites and have more than 1% of people be able to hear?

I have googled endlessly for a solution and have found none.

Thanks!

The chaining for ogg is part of the spec and icecast cannot just ignore it if the source client issues a change in the chain. The Firefox people are aware of the limited capability of the initial version of ogg support and (AFAIK) changing the underlying code to resolve the chaining limitation.

The only way currently to prevent chaining is to make sure the source client does not issue a new chain which basically means for most, no metadata updates and fed via a DSP type input. eg ices2 live feed, and you either capture something like line-in or the output of another audio application.
