| I'm currently trying to run a stream using VLC ver 0.9.9, running the Icecast server on my own computer. As far as I can tell everything with the server is working. VLC is able to connect to it according to the logs, and VLC is streaming, however, I get 0 source client connections under the status. Does anyone know what the problem is? |

There is more in error.log but this is the most recent success in connecting VLC to the server. |

No stats updates apparent due to the low log level. The 401 cases are rejections so wouldn't affect the stat you are asking about, you are interested in the http 200 cases
lines like
[2010-01-09 13:57:33] INFO connection/connection.c Source logging in at mountpoint "/toonami"
[2010-01-09 13:57:34] INFO source/source.c End of Stream /toonami
indicate that very little is sent each time before a disconnection, so you need to focus on more detail on a particular attempt.

Is there another log I would need to find? Or how would I go about doing that?
EDIT: Apparently I have a different problem now. I can't view stats.xml. I can get in the server, but it won't take the password I set for it. |
