I just installed Icecast on a win xp sp1 box, to take a look at it.
I do not use it yet.
but each time I reboot I see icecastservice.exe running in the background
I opened the console and the [ ] start server on application startup is unchecked.
Why is icecastservice.exe starting on bootup, when I am not yet using the program? |

Well, you did install it as a service didn't you ? By default, services register for automatic startup. To change this, you need to change this setting via Control Panel/Administrative Tools/services and set it to "Manual" startup.
