|
|
Hi.
I have a signal (192kbps) that I want to convert to 64 kbps signal to my mobile solution. How can I do this?
I use wincamp to receive the stream, and edcast to send the signal to icecast....
I have tried to setup edcast encoder to 64 kbps, but it still sends the signal with about 170-192 kbps.
Please help. |

There are many people who setup 2 or more edcast sessions from the same winamp. I would suggest that over the transcoder route if possible.

Sorry, I have to understand this..
It means that I have to to play the 128 kbps from Winamp and to edcast, and then make a "encoding" to 64 kbps with transcoder and then trough edcast again, and to icecast?? Or am I totally lost here? |

When my edcast plays from winamp and in Encoder Settings says MP3: 64 kbps/44100Hz/Stereo, shouln't it be in 64 kbps then????
The Transfer Rate is 178 Kbps right now, so I guess its not 64 kbps?
I am lost.. Pleeeease help... Will pay a lot of beers. |

Just forget it!!
Found the problem.. It was my mp3lame encoder that fucked it up... I choosed AAC+V2 and now it runs 64 kbit.. |

edcast uses vbr by default.
You need to change lame_enc.dll and modify lame_enc.ini for cbr. |
