Icecast Streaming Media Server

I am new to icecast. I just setup it on my vps, but I don't know how to use.

Could any one guide me?

of course. You should be able to install a pre-built package from any distribution and see the documentation on there or on our web site.

The key thing is knowing what you want to achieve, what formats you want to work with and what platforms you use for the source client (if you intend to use one).

Obviously you have not specified what setup you intend to have (platforms, streams, apps etc) so I would suggest looking through the docs and look for any howtos that are scattered in various locations eg

you can use google to find various examples of ways to setup icecast with the simplest requiring no changes, or you can search these forums. There are many combinations and some aspects are out of our control so get a clear idea of where you want to go.
