Hi all,

Maybe I've been searching with my eyes closed, but I can't find the problem why users of a Blackberry can't listen to my stream.
I know it's possible because some other stations seem to have it working through Icecast.

I'm streaming MP3 to Icecast using Liquidsoap, and even when I stream as OGG and transcode it as MP3 to a Shoutcast server it doesn't work.

I must be missing something.. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

I've heard of issues with blackberry and aac+ which turns out to be the content type setting but not with mp3. firstly make sure the content type is as expected then see which servers/streams are ok. Could it be some combination of bitrate/samplerate/channels that are having problems.

karl.

Thanks for your reply!

I'll try to experiment with some other bitrate and samplerate settings.
I've got it running at 128Kbps at a samplerate of 44100 at the moment.

If I get it working I'll report back here.

Edit: It's working now. I tried to connect using the M3U file, but if you let them connect directy (e.g. http://host:port/mountpoint) it works.
