I user http://servername.org:8000 as the radio url when I'm using shoutcast server, but after I change my server daemon to icecast2, I have to specially a mount point after my url, like http://servername.org:8000/stream as my radio url even I only open one mountpoint.

Can I set one of mount point as default, or is there any method so I can use only http://servername.org:8000 as playing url while I'm using icecast2? Since I only do 1 broadcast at the sametime.

All listers request a mountpoint even for shoutcast, you're just not aware of it. In the example you mentioned the mountpoint is / and by default we alias / to /status.xsl so that browsers work nicely. It's your choice whether you want to use / or not.

So I have to set my DJ Client send it as mount point "/" and I can't have both statuspage and listening from http://servername:8000/ at the sametime, right?
Or is there anyway to make both things work at the same time?

The status page is actually on /status.xsl, but if you check the icecast xml configuration then you'll see that you could an alias of / to /status.xsl. We don't do any selection of mountpoint content based on other client info like useragent.

Sorry I think I didn't get your point @@".

Is "the icecast xml configuration" means the xml file I load with command icecast -b -c "blah.xml" ?

and because icecast dont do any selection of mountpoint content based on other client info (like useragent), so its impossible to send audiostream while player connect and send status page while browser connect, right?

yes, that is the file I was referring to.

yes. while it is possible to determine for a particular listener whether it is a browser or player, in other cases it isn't. If I use curl or wget, does that mean I want the web page or the stream?. Does listener authentication apply for the stream only, the file only or both?. It's just much simpler to not do it that way.
