hi,

Can we run icecats in port 80.??? but its giving error when i try to run it in port 80. Can you tell me how to run it in port 80. And how to request for a song from the server which runs in port 80??

yes you can, but on unix-like systems at least, ports less than 1024 can only be used by apps with high level of access. To achieve this, start icecast as root and use the <changeowner> directives. The default port for http is port 80 so you may omit :80 from the URLs but there's nothing wrong if they are there.
