you have asked ices to read an xml file so it knows what to do, however that file cannot be read

quite simply, the configuration file you want ices to read is not there. What would expect ices to do with no information.

In SuSE distro, sample configs are located in /usr/share/doc/packages/ices/
You have to copy the one which fits the best your needs and edit it then save it somewhere where you can pick it easily. Do NOT directly edit and store your config in /usr/share/doc/packages/ices/ as this would lead to some upgrade problems. Doc directories are system directories, users should not use them for their data storage Smile
