Icecast Streaming Media Server

I use foobar, oddcast-dsp and icecast server.
I can now set up a server like http://10.1.1.5:8000/music
Here /music is the mountpoint.

My question is, how to set up a server just like http://10.1.1.5:8000 ?
Without a mountpoint? Just like what SHOUTcast can do.

I tried to set the mount to / , it connected without problem, but the client just can't get anything from the url http://10.1.1.5:8000.
What's the problem?

By default, icecast has an alias configured from / to /status.xsl, you'll want to remove that if you want to use / as a normal mountpoint.
